SwagBucks – Get Free Stuff While Surfing The Internet

February 17th, 2011

I’ve heard about SwagBucks for quite some time now, but I never did sign up until my neighbor came over one day last week wearing some pretty good looking bling! I thought she finally talked her Husband into buying her something nice. Imagine my surprise when she said that she received the Sterling Silver necklace and gold ring free! I knew there had to be a catch. Especially when she said she got them for free while surfing the Internet. “Okay, I’ll bite. Stop screwing with me and tell me how you got them” I said.

Squinkies

December 10th, 2010

What’s up with Squinkies? Okay, they’re cute and adorable, but I hardly see why such a fuss over them! My kids are going bonkers for ‘em. I’m like looking at these Squinkies and thinking “You’re not a Cabbage Patch Doll or a Furby, so why the fuss?” Okay, I guess I’m dating myself here but I still don’t get it.

Tory Burch Shoes

November 26th, 2010

I have a dilemma.  I would love a pair of Tory Burch Shoes, however I can’t see myself spending $100 or more on a pair of shoes that I might wear a few times per year. I’d also be afraid of being the one person who destroyed their Tory Burch Shoes by wearing them everyday. So I’d be extra careful and probably not wear them at all for fear of ruining them!

You see where I’m coming from?

How To Save Money On Your Grocery Budget

July 7th, 2010

Okay, so if you’re like me, you’re looking for information on how to save money on your grocery budget. Am I correct? Well, I’ve tried a lot of things over the years to save a buck or two. Not all have worked for me. That’s not to say they won’t work for you, because they just might. No two families are the same and no two women shop the same for their families!

So here are a few things I’ve tried in the past or things I currently do to save money on my grocery bill.

The 5 Little Pigs

February 26th, 2009

Okay, this is an old joke, but I still find it funny. Sent in by one of my long time friends. Hope you find it as funny as I do.

A farmer had five female pigs. Times were hard, so he decided to take them to the county fair and sell them.

At the fair, he met another farmer who owned five male pigs. After talking a bit, they decided to mate the pigs and split everything 50/50. The farmers lived sixty miles apart. So they agreed to drive thirty miles each, and find a field in which to let the pigs mate. The first morning, the farmer with the female pigs got up at 5 A.M., loaded the pigs into the family station wagon, which was the only vehicle he had, and drove the thirty miles.

Project Payday Review

January 29th, 2009

As many of you already know, I’m a stay at home Mom who earns money from home. I get to stay home with my kids and I’m home when my husband comes in. I’ve been doing this for the last few years and each year, I’m able to earn a little more than the year before.

I’ve received a lot of emails asking me about Project Payday ever since I mentioned it in a Post here last year. Now that I’ve been with them over a year, I thought I sit down and write a Project Payday review.

Which Side Is The Gas Cap On?

January 17th, 2009

This is a pretty cool tip. I never knew this before. I guess there are things us stay at home moms don’t know!

I have been driving for many, many, many years. I would think I should have noticed the little secret on my dashboard that was staring me in the face the whole time, I didn’t, and I bet you didn’t either.

If Texas Were To Secede From the United States

December 4th, 2008

My friend who lives in Texas sent me this email. Funny!

THE COUNTRY OF TEXAS

Please note that Texas is the only state with a legal right to secede from the Union.
(Reference the Texas-American Annexation Treaty of 1848.)

We Texans love y’all, but we’ll probably have to take action since Obama won the election.
We’ll miss you too.

Here is what can happen:

#1: Barack Obama becomes President of the United States.
Texas immediately secedes from the USA.
#2: George W. Bush will become the President of the Republic of Texas .

Make Money From Home Selling Ebooks

September 3rd, 2008

If you’re like me, you worried yourself sick on whether to stay home with the Kids or put the Kids in daycare and continue pursuing your career. My husband and I knew what the right decision was, but we worried about our Family’s finances. Once we made the decision that I would stay home with the kids, we learned to cut our outgoing money and I searched for new ways to make money from home.
